THE FEEL:  These slender mugs have a grounding but not too hefty weight, a comfortable 4 finger handle and a smooth cuppable base.  

I am exploring ways to whittle down time to see if I can make some dynamically glazed pieces that are more affordable, without cutting the corners that matter. So I experimented with a few subtly aesthetically quirky pieces, similar in size and shape. Instead of spending time curating matching compositions with twelve intentionally layered glazes, these pieces were dipped in black glaze, then 'chaos glazed' by randomly swiping them with whatever glaze was on my brush before cleaning it off. Each piece is an entirely unique glaze composition.

CARE RECOMMENDATIONS:

Although my pieces are dishwasher and microwave safe, I encourage treating these pieces like a well loved treasure that will be passed down by limiting microwave and dishwasher use.  I have lost a few well loved and irreplaceable Renaissance festival mugs over the years that I’ve learned how to care for my own collection to help keep them with me to pass down to my son. I share the pottery care information in that spirit. I have a few of my own Sublime Pottery pieces that I’ve always microwaved and washed in the dishwasher that are all just fine but some of my pieces I treat like a treasure. I never microwave them or leave them soaking in water. I’ll warm them a bit with warm tap water if it’s a cold winter morning and the kitchen is chilly and I’ll hand wash, towel dry and put them away like my Granny did with her last remaining heirloom china tea cup. It feels special. Like I treated myself and now I’m giving some care to this thing that brings me joy.

If you have ordered multiple pieces, we can generally pack up to four normal sized pieces in one package. Shipping overages will be issued once an order has been packed and weighed. Unless otherwise indicated, all orders going to the same address will be shipped together (up to 4 pieces in one box).
