I've been playing with collage lately. A couple of weeks ago, I made the collages shown above and I CANNOT get the phrase 'Flow Your Own Way' out of my mind! Every time I read it, I hear Lindsay Buckingham singing in my ear 😂.

So I started asking myself what that really means for me in any given moment. I had this handy acronym I came up with a few years ago that helps IMMENSELY . FLOW is:

When I'm about to move into a new task, if I feel the YESNESS in doing this task now or is it something I'm doing just because its next in line. If I don't feel the yesness - or if I get a 'no' feeling - I find a task that feels...right. Even if its WILDLY out of order. I did this when choosing glazes for the pieces in this load. When deciding to sand or throw or clean. I've been doing it with every decision, even if it feels silly or 'not the right time for that' and something clicked today. It came naturally. It was an absolutely beautiful day. EVERYTHING got done, and it felt like a dance.  Like a collaboration.

I am VERY curious to see how this simple practice will play out in other areas.  I can already see a whimsical change in my glazing.  It is changing how I talk to myself.  How I give to myself and those around me. How I give to the moment.  It is really turning into one of those rare 'one size fits all' practices.
